COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course exposes students to the development of the Nigerian Economy with respect to economic and social achievements. It analyzes the growth of the various sectors of the economy in terms of structural changes, causes and consequences on economic development. It also evaluates the relationship among the various sectors of the Nigerian economy and their effects on the economic growth and development of the nation.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of this course, the students should be able to conduct a trend analysis of the development of each sector of the economy and ascertain possible reasons for the various trends observed.
METHODS OF LECTURE DELIVERY
Lecture delivery methods: Lectures to be conducted with audio-visuals as well asmulti-media projector. Teaching Aids: Magnetic Board, Public Address System(PAS) and Lecture notes

GROUND RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Students are expected to be in class before the commencement of lectures and to be well-behaved for lecture objectives to be achieved.
- Entrance into lecture hall will not be allowed after five minutes of the commencement of lecture.
- Students are expected to actively participate in class discussion in an interactive manner.
- Prior notice should be given if students are going to be absent from class.
